Time is a currency you can’t earn back, so spend it where growth, clarity, and connection live.

Three momentous milestone months.
Sixteen powerhouse women. Cohort 1.0 Pioneers.
Countless insights. Five powerhouse coaches.
What started as a mastermind became a movement, not just in business strategy, but in sisterhood.
A rare space where collaboration trumped competition, where voices were heard, and where laughter and real talk flowed as freely as our Google Meets.
And somewhere between the frameworks, the fire, and the Canva tutorials,
my Sayun coffee levels dropped to ground zero.
(Not even one virtual delivery, Reagan? A diaspora "Sayun" service maybe? At least jet me over a bag, or three ☕ But I digress.)
A Diaspora Founder’s Front-Row Seat
By now, it’s probably obvious to you, since I was put on blast, a week plus ago, to someone's many Linkedin tribe...and of course Linked took it's sweet time to tell me...seriously, really...moving on to magnificent Reagan..
Yes, indeed I was the sole diaspora participant in this, the one and the first Mentrx Mastermind cohort.
And by a twist of divine timing, I was in town for the in-person kickoff, the “maiden flight” of Cohort #1.
To sit in real space with the women I’d soon grow alongside in our Google Meets and WhatsApp brainstorms?
That moment was golden.
These weren’t just women with business cards. These were builders, risk-takers, truth-tellers, shaping brands, families, futures.
The heartbeat of entrepreneurship is universal, even if the rhythm varies across time zones.
But First, A Welcome Worth Remembering
But let’s talk about that exquisitely curated welcome luncheon, Meet-Up #1.
Held at the stunning Onomo Hotel, it wasn’t just lunch. It was a statement.
Delicious, elegant, thoughtfully styled, a true masterclass in how to welcome people into a space with intention, care, and beauty. Branded pens and booklets to jot down our everything from day one..museum showcase level..
A man after my own heart when it comes to all things classy and considered,
Yes, this was classy spoiling at its Uganda best.
And then, somewhere along the way, it became clear, this wasn’t just an event, my first ever cohort, incidentally, because they are a thing in Africa....now I know. I am an e-learning and a Darren Hardy junkie so I treat my self to his virtual masterminds, Darren Daily and other minds in this business marketing space.
But Mentrx - this was the beginning of something lasting.
Bridging Global Insight with Local Relevance
As a diaspora founder, my businesses operate thousands of miles from Latitude Zero, the Pearl of Africa, but my heart, and my mission, are deeply rooted here.
I left in the early ’80s. The times were different.
Now, here in the 21st century, everything from culture to communication to customer behavior has evolved.
And no amount of theory can replace being on the ground, close enough to feel the rhythm of the market as it truly is now.
My life abroad, my home away from home, gives me perspective, access to a spectrum of cutting -edge marketing tools, and yes, if you know me then you will know that I am all about top tier software. My arsenal is impressive and impactful to my brands. Why? do not reinvent the wheel, so invest in state of effectiveness efficient systems, full stop. But, the daily dose of Reagan Kawuma's I wish I had in my vicinity, is now in my core circle. Not many like him, but, many more mentors are out their making ripples and a difference, quietly. So, find your Reagan or Mr. Self.
But, my commitment is local. I aim to empower women here, in East Africa, first and foremost through meaningful, transformative work. NO, Not giving up on my coveted US She E-bosses: Mentorship Success and Dynamic Paradigms network of amazing members who have supported my virtual courses and sent a stream of referrals. That quiet and steady building I needed to stay focused on building the foundation to and for my original- ultimate goal. You paved the way. You were the guiding lights on this 8 years young incredible journey.
This mastermind gave me exactly that,
A window into the nuance, the cultural cues, the trust triggers, the pace.
It allowed me to reflect, refine, and update my message and methods, so that what I offer doesn’t just thrive globally, it also resonates deeply and respectfully here at home.
Masterminding with Women Who Do Not Play Small
There is something radically powerful about women banding together in business — especially across sectors, skill sets, and life stages.
The value of this cohort wasn’t just in the Google Meets and strategy boards.
It was in the shared energy, the side conversations, the spontaneous support, and the genuine sisterhood that formed.
And anchoring us?
Five powerhouse coaches who brought substance, structure, and serious game.
They covered everything that matters to a growing entrepreneur,
Sales, branding, finance, systems, storytelling, messaging, digital presence,
All presented with clarity, cultural context, and care.
Their insights didn’t just inform, they transformed.
To each coach who shared, guided, and held the space with generosity and wisdom, thank you.
Your voices were essential, and your work, unforgettable.
The Gift of Strategic Clarity and a Heart-Led Steward
The Mentrx Mastermind was an unexpected opportunity, and a serendipitous, unplanned so pre-unbudgeted gift,
A gift from myself to my business goals,
A front-row seat to women creating and rising in ways that demand attention,
And a reminder of why hands-on learning in your intended market is so critical.
And at the center of it all,
Regan Kawuma, whose leadership was equal parts tactician and teacher, coach and catalyst.
What Reagan offered was not reinvention,
It was Africa-specific market intelligence,
The kind that sharpens already strong strategy and bridges global experience with local reality.
He guided with calm presence and sharp intuition,
He made space for real inquiry and deep recalibration,
And most of all, he modeled how to lead with vision, humility, and soul.
There’s a difference between being a facilitator and being a steward,
Regan Kawuma is the latter, and the impact of his work reaches far beyond curriculum and cohorts, dare I say.
Why I Gifted Myself This Experience
I joined this mastermind not because I lacked direction,
but because I believe in the power of refinement through community.
I believe in gifting ourselves real-time learning,
in making time to grow beside others who reflect the markets we seek to serve,
and in never assuming excellence only lives in the West.
This experience was perfectly aligned with my business ethos,
💡 Stay grounded,
💡 Stay growing,
💡 Learn from the communities you want to impact.
