Three months, sixteen powerhouse women, countless insights, one unforgettable inaugural cohort. What started as a mastermind became a movement, not just in business strategy, but in sisterhood. By this point in a post that put me on blast, someone’s followers, you’ve probably guessed, Yes, I was the sole diaspora attendee of the Mentrx Mastermind. As a diaspora founder, my businesses operate thousands of miles away from Latitude Zero, the Pearl of Africa, but my heart, and my mission, are deeply anchored here.
Having left in the early ’80s, the times were different. Now, here in the 21st century, so much has shifted, in culture, communication, and how value is received and recognized. And in this new landscape, no amount of distance learning can substitute for hands-on understanding, being close enough to feel the rhythm of the market as it truly is now.
My life abroad, my home away from home, has given me perspective, but my deepest goal has always remained: to empower women here through meaningful, transformative work.
